Photo Essay: 2 years in 7 pictures

Here are 7 pictures of 7 places I have visited. They mostly are family pictures, so i you see a larger version of me, think of him as my older brother. These are mostly about 2 year ago. Maybe even 3.

This is a picture of me when I was at Jeju Island, I recall that it was my 2nd trip to Jeju. In the picture, you can see me and my brother. We were standing on some rocks. These rocks were formed from lava cooling into stone. The smell of salty water was very memorable. I still have no idea why I was so depressed. I guess I was tired. After all, I do prefer being indoors.

In still remember this village. The mushroom in the background is very memorable for me. It's at Ilsan Heyri Dalki Village. After all, It was a huge oversize mushroom with windows and a door. Also, another thing I recognized is how fat I look inn this picture. Maybe it's because of the lighting.

This, I remember. After celebrating the new years, my family went to the west coast of Korea. We went to the infamous foreshore. I saw a lot of crabs and oyster there. Especially clams. In the picture, I'm holding an ear shell. I'm not sure how I found it. It kind of looks like a rock. To be honest, I have no idea what it is. I do remember the mud. My feet descended in whenever I stood still.

This is a picture me and my father took at a village, simulating a village at the Mediterranean coast. It was in Korea though. The sun was really bright. That explains my creepy face. Oh yeah, the rock was REALLY HOT on my side. Mother must have taken the picture when I was screaming from pain. There were many things there like musical instruments and a small outdoor stage.

Oh yes, this is a picture I took at the top of the Sul ack mountain. We went here to receive the power of the mountain. It was after the New Years I believe. This rock was so weird. I was lured by it, making me pat it. I does, after all, look like a seal.

I went to the Olympic park to participate in a campaign about Dokdo. My friend and I wandered around the park. I held the poster and my friend handed out the handouts. It was a campaign raising awareness about Dokdo. This picture shows us taking a a short break. The sun was shining TOO bright.

This is a recent picture. It's a family picture taken near a slide at Ocean World. It was a hot day. We took this picture after we finished playing. You can just see the fatigue from our faces. It was a blast!

Persuasive Writing: Why I Should Get A Cat

Dear
Mother and Father

The reason I'm writing this to you is because I would like to raise a cat. I can give you 3 reasons why we should buy a cat and why we can handle it.

The first reason is because cats are calm. Unlike dogs, cats are calm. They aren't as hyper as dogs. They don't chew up the furniture or shoes. Cats usually wander around, barely causing any trouble. Since they are less energetic, it will be easier to take care of them. I can play and take care of the cat without running around and making a mess. Thus, cats will be easy to keep. Maybe I will get more calm and patient when I get a cat.

The second reason is because cats are more hygienic. They don't smell as much as rabbits or hamsters. Also, they take care of their business in the litter box. They're not like dogs that poo anywhere unless trained. Also, cats won't consume a lot of time when training. They are smart and can adapt quickly.

Last but not least, I think we should get a cat because it can be my companion. My brother spends a most of his year at America. So at home, I feel like an only child. If we have a cat, I won't feel as lonely. Cats are cute and even if they aren't, the look majestic. Besides, its fun to watch a cat do something goofy.

Therefore these are reasons why we should buy a cat.

Sincerely
Scott

PARANOIA

Listen to this as you read.

Prologue
Our minds are mysterious little fellows. Once in a while everyone feels that weird chill up your neck, or sees an unidentified shadow at the corner of your eyesight. However things like that normally doesn't trigger the human nature of curiosity  Are our minds trying to diverse us from the things? Take a careful look around you. Do you see anything out of place? Listen carefully to the ambiance  Is there anything 'different' from your daily ambiance  There might be things in this world, that maybe our minds don't want us to see or discover. Keep this is mind while you read.

Part I: The Discovery
It was a normal day. Nothing different from usual. I woke up, ate some cereal, and found myself staring at the computer screen for a couple of hours. It was a normal Sunday morning. Elementary school students were playing hopscotch on the sidewalk. My neighbor was checking the mail. The sky was cloudless, but so blue. It was a perfectly normal morning for a suburban area. The time I found it was exactly on 12:41 in the evening.

I was going downstairs to check if there were any spare plates down there in the basement. I shouoldn't have done that. My house was given to me by my father. It was pretty old, so the fragile wooden stairs creaked with every step. The lights in the basement didn't work, so I had to use a flashlight. The basement was pitch black. Everything else outside the radius of my flashlight's shine was not visible at all. I the basement, I found some interesting things, I found some books, which were written in some weird foreign language. I found more antiques like spoons and knives and jars. They all were dusty and dirty.

Later on, I discovered an old clock. It was huge and it stood there in the corner of the basement. I didn't bring my watch, so I checked the time on it. I was 12:40. I studied the clock mechanism further. I found a little drawer. Out of curiousity, I decided to open it. This was the most regretted desicion in my whole entire life. Inside the drawer was a piece of paper. I figured that it was written in some language from Europe. It said,"Je zult nooit ontsnappen aan de kwelling. Het monster schuilt in ieder van ons." At the time I didn't know what it meant.

Anyways I found some plates and I headed up stairs. Suddenly, I saw something go past me. Puzzled, I looked left and right, but then I decided to ignore it. As I washed my plates, I started to notice something. It can't be explained. I suddenly just had the shivers down my back. It was as if something or someone was watching me. Once again, I decided to ignore it. However, later on that day I got the same feeling over again. I even heard things. Like the clicks of the clock growing louder and louder. Some foreign chants were heard. However they all had the same thing. When I looked around, there was nothing that caused them.

At the end of the day, I decided to go get some sleep. I walked down my corridor to the bathroom. Strangely that day, the corridor seemed a bit longer. But I didn't really care about it and went to bed. This time, for some reason I held my sheets tighter. No it wasn't just the grip, but it was the manner that I held it. It was as if I tried to pull them up. I then proceeded to sleep.

Part II: The Fear
I think that everything was just against me that day. Even my dreams couldn't give me a break. It was as if I took LSD or something. I saw random patterns and shapes flash before my eyes. I heard chanting but I wasn't sure what it was saying. Then suddenly, I see this masked man in a trench suit just staring at me. I felt fear and tried to move away, but I couldn't. The masked man then suddenly walked towards me. The only thing that I could see beyond his mask were empty eye sockets, filled with blood and gore. He suddenly reached for his mask. It was as if he was trying to take it off. For some reason, I felt fear. Fear that cannot be shown by mere words. I cried for help, but no cry of dismay would change the man's mind. It was right before the man took off his mask off, when I woke up. It was 3:00 am dawn. It was raining outside, and thunder stroke like cannon balls.

Then I started to wonder. What has happened to me? I walked out of my bedroom and went towards the corridor. I turned the lights on and it took me quite a while to adjust to the light. I walked towards the kitchen for some coffee. When I saw my mother there, I was relieved for a minute.
"What's wrong honey?" my mother asked.
"Nothing mum" I replied.
But then it struck me.

My mother's funeral was 7 months ago.

I rubbed my eyes and looked back at the kitchen with shock. She was gone. But the onions she was cutting was still there. Chopped into Pieces. I was in utter shock. However as time went by shock turned into fear and fear turned into curiosity. I was sure something was happening with my mind. Later that day, I visited my therapist. His name was Scott. A friend who I knew ever since an English camp I had at about 2013 or so.

Scott explained to me it was probably because of the shock and stress I experienced recently. He told me to relax and rest. he was wrong. It was nothing caused by the stress. Later on that day, I came back home. I had dinner at a restaurant where Scott decided to pay for me. Even at the restaurant, it seemed as if everyone was looking at me. It seemed like when I turned to look at them, they quickly avoided their eyes. Only Scott looked natural to me.

Part III: The End
When I arrived home, the first thing I saw was the open basement door. I could have sworn that I closed it before. I decided to approach the door out of curiosity.

Movie Review: The Princess Bride

"The Princess Bride", it's a classic. It's a pretty good movie to be honest. I really liked the idea of a grandpa reading the story to his grandson. It's quite unique compared to other movies. Also, despite the movie being produced in the 80's, it has realistic scenes. I would say, that Fezzik's (the giant) voice sounded a bit artificial, but I'm not sure. I could definitely say that he was huge. I could even say he's mysterious. I never saw a man that big. No wonder he's called the 8th wonder of the world. Overall, it was entertaining to watch.
The basic plot is this. Buttercup and Westley have a romance together. However  Westley suddenly dies due to the infamous pirate Dread Pirate Robert. At least this is what Buttercup heard. Spoiler Alert! Westley became the pirate. However not knowing this, Buttercup had to marry the prince of the kingdom, Prince Humperdink, who plotted to murder her just to start a war.
Recognizing this, Westley went to save her. He fought a Spaniard, a giant, and a genius. The genius, Vizzini was killed. The Spaniard, Inigo went on to seek revenge against a six fingered man who killed his father who was working under the prince. The Giant ends up helping Westley and Buttercup.
The only thing that I could say that was negative were the cliches. It wasn't really surprising when Westley reappeared. It was really predictable. It had the cliche with the characters being immortal. The action, was not really enough. About 60% was dialogue, and I basically believe that action kind of lacked a bit. I wished for more fighting.
I loved the plot though. It might be a common plot, but it was good. The whole movie was just fun. Especially with Inigo. I absolutely loved the line "You killed my father. Prepare to die", his accent and repeating was just so hilarious.
I would like to recommend this to the fans of movies with a mix of romance and action. The theme 'truelove' fits in pretty well. In a nutshell, it was pretty great.
I personally think that Westley showed the most amount of leadership. He knew when to fall back and he knew when to go. He was doing a good job on leading the group.

3 Goals for 30 Days

<span style="background-color: white;">As you can see, I'm currently at GLPS camp. Thus, my goals will have to be limited inside the GLPS camp grounds... Any ways I have chosen a total of three goals to achieve while I'm at this camp.

The First goal will be taking a picture every single day. It can just be 1 picture a day. The reason I've chose this goal is well, simple. I am in the photo taking CA. So It's basically practicing for it. Besides, maybe I could release my inner artist with this goal. I might post some funny or interesting pictures onto Reddit. Or, just like what Matt Cutts had said in his TED talk, the pictures could be a personal reminder, or diary of some sort that would tell me what happened.

My Second goal is to get some exercise everyday. It doesn't have to be something hard like weightlifting. It can jist me some pushups. I could start out as 3 pushups a day. Then i could increase the number until 10. It will be good for my studies for how it is said that exercises do help your studies. I could have an incease in height. It is a true fact that if I do 10 pushups a day, I will get taller. So it is easy, simple and efficient. I think that this could make a phenominal goal. Especially for people who hate the outdoors like me ha ha .

My Last goal is to no longer use facebook. First, I'm going to uninstall it from my phone. Then, I'm going to block the website from my computer. Thus, making the website completely cut off from me. It's going to help me not be distracted from the work at GLPS. It is not hard, but it is effective.

Scott For Dummies

1. Russia
2. Reddit
3. Cats

My Name is Scott. I'll introduce myself. The three words above this text are things that I can say that are keywords of myself.

1.

Russia is a country that I can say is my favorite. It has a unique history that can be distinguished from the typical europeon type of history. Also, I find russian culture interesting as russias culture is the mix of both eastern and western cultures. For example, the architecture in Russia, for example the Kremlin palace has a unique feel to it.

2.
Reddit is my favorite site. It's bookmarked in almost all of my computers, and I have visited it the most. It has a lot of funny pictures along with gifs. It also has a lot of news articles with pictures related to it. You can register for free, and it's quite easy to use.

3.
Cats are my favorite animals. IF someone asked me if I'm a cat person or a dog person, I'd rather say cat. Cats are pretty gentle, and to compare, their a bit more hygienic than dogs. They're funny to. I find it entertaining to watch a cat do something stupid.
